The day before Thanksgiving, I invited Hubby’s mom and sister to come with us to The Treehouse in Ogden for the day. We found a great deal on KSL Deals for tickets for $3 each. We played there for 3 hours and had SO much fun! I highly recommend checking it out. We will for sure be going again.
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family. It was such a great day of relaxing, eating and playing games. My cousins Pete and Scott were with us for Thanksgiving this year and it was really fun having them with us. That night, we went to Walmart for some “Black Friday” (even though it was Thursday). I really wanted to get Mischief a bedspread set for $25, the Cars one. I found it just minutes before they opened it up, and I fought my way in for the only Cars one they had! I also got the kids some pajamas, and the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for $2. The best part of the night was watching Scott trying to sell stuff off. He grabbed this ottoman and sold it to someone for $5 who wanted it. So he tried doing the same with electronics, but had no luck. We had a blast!
On Thanksgiving, I was 27 weeks along:
This week I am 28 weeks along, and into my third trimester! Yahoo! She is moving around like crazy and it is so fun!
We moved Mischief into a twin sized bed and he is in heaven! He loves it! The first night, he was ripping his clothes off as fast as he could to get his pajamas on. I said, “Wow, you are in a hurry to get to bed!” and he said, “Yeah mom, I’m just so tired!”
We tried putting Lady in the same room so we could use her room for the baby, but it just isn’t going to happen. They stayed up for 3 hours reading books, wrestling and laughing. So we put the crib in our room, and Lady is now in a toddler bed in her room. She has been doing surprisingly well in it.
We set up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and watched “Home Alone”. The kids love the tree and insist that it is always turned on. They also loved the movie Home Alone. I’m regretting letting Mischief watch it though because he sets up traps now for “the bad guys”. Like his cars all over the floor to slip on, he gets his tools to pretend he is taking door knobs off doors, and even tried to get into the knives. So we are not watching that show anymore and hoping he forgets about it!
The weather was so nice a couple days ago so we headed to the park. My brother Brent met up with us and played with the kids on the toys for over an hour. The kids love him because he climbs the toys with them and seems to never get tired. They wouldn’t stop talking about going to the park with uncle Brent after that.
Lady has been all about cuddling daddy lately. Hubby loves it! She usually is just snuggly with me, but lately daddy has been her favorite snuggle buddy.
Tonight Hubby and I are going to “The Forgotten Carols” with his family. It’s a tradition that I love, it is my favorite play. The kids are going with my parents to The Festival of Trees. Which is convenient as I hate the Festival of Trees. I know, I’m a terrible person. So is Hubby, we both hate it!
